Are You Comfortable With Your Identity?

Your identity matters! You have a purpose in this creation. Do you believe you are uniquely created and have a purpose? If so, how important have you made pursuing your uniqueness? These are examples of questions that people skirt around when they reach out to me for coaching.

Every One Of Us Is A Special Creation

God did not create the world out of need. God is in perfect harmony in his triune state. His identity was and is clear. This is called “need” love. God’s love is completely satisfied with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God loved Jesus before the foundation of the world. He is in perfect unity as a result. (John 17) Why did God create the world?

God made the world because he wanted to display what he already had.

In other words, he wanted to see his joy displayed in a bigger way. To create something new is “benevolence” or “want” love. God speaking through Jeremiah said, “I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.” (Jeremiah 32.41)

God does good because he is good. To create you gives him complete satisfaction. So what are you to do with this? What are you to do if you believe you are made in the image of God? Would it be good to discover how God made you unique? Could you begin by creating something new? Both of these are acts of obedience. Obedience is an act of love. In doing this you are exercising your faith. How might you further exercise your faith?

What acts of obedience is God calling you to today? Do you know your purpose? Do you know how to apply your purpose to your calling? What is keeping you from exploring these questions? Need a coach? Maybe this will help.
